There are many versions of every diet. Our diet templates strive for the most commonly accepted designations of foods for a particular diet. Still, we understand that our specific templates will not exactly agree with every version.
If you disagree with food assignments, there are a few ways you can handle this.
If a food is currently allowed but you want to restrict it, simply add the food as one you avoid eating when setting up your eating profile. When you list a food as one you avoid, this food automatically becomes disallowed on your profile.
If there are foods you wish to include that the template excludes, you can add it under Notes for Groups and Events you create. Alternatively, rather than selecting a diet template when setting up your eating profile, you can create your own diet by excluding specific foods and food groups under foods you avoid eating.
We are working on an open access feature for those of you (such as dieticians, nutritionists, wellness experts, trainers, herbalists, coaches, nurses, doctors, etc) interested in creating your own template for others to use.
